Being a Mom Introduction
Do you know what the roles of being a mom are? When you are a mom you have to play all these different roles, like being a caretaker or a teacher. You are a caretaker because you have to always be there for your children needs, such as cooking to feed them and cleaning up after them. You have to give them medicines or take them to the doctor whenever they are sick. Moms have to keep children immunizations up to date because it keeps the kids from getting disease such as chicken pox and hepatitis. A mom is teacher because they have to teach their kids how to interact with others, how to behavior, and be obedience. A mom will always be constantly teaching new things. Moms are also constantly going through different changes like aging of the kids and their different attitudes. At different ages children starts to act different and their attitudes changes, whether they are in their terrible 2's or their teenage years. Before I became a mom myself, I was more of the party type of girl. I was always partying, clubbing, staying out late, and hanging out with friends because it was fun. I now have a three year old son, and I think I am a more responsible person than I was before because every thing I do is more for my son and not for me. I only go out on occasions because I rather stay at home and being a mother to my son. My whole personality has also change and so has my language because I have to watch what I say around my son because he picks up on the words so fast. I'm always teaching him things like how to speak two languages. I speak in english and repeat the words again in cambodian. I just also taught him how to spell his name, dad, and mom, then rewarded him for spelling it right. I know that at my teenage years it was hard for my mom to try and talk to me and deal with me because I always did the opposite of what she didn't want and I started to not listen to her as much anymore. So being a mom isn't so easy, you have so many tasks to do as a mom. I think being a mom is a full-time job and a very hard one too.
